| and a week later...
Life is awesome. God is so good. He has blessed me with a wonderful boyfriend, Daniel. He truly strives after holiness and extends that into our relationship. Dan is such a gift from God and just.. knocks my socks off! He cares about me so much and we both try to go about everything about us in a God-honoring way. And as an added bonus, he is one of the most sincere people I've ever met. And hes cute! But his character is even more attractive. :)
Besides the whole boyfriend aspect of life, school is going well too. Its busy and sometimes overwhelming, but God is good and has blessed me with a great schedule and a great work load. Surprisingly the work load isnt as bad as I was expecting. Its definitely crazy. But I think since I enjoy it, the work doesnt seem so bad.
Spritually, God is teaching me a lot. Theres so much to learn about who God is and His character. My small group is awesome and I've really enjoyed getting to know new people on the music team (oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I'm on the music team up here). The conversations and the questions discussed in group have been awesome and really challenging my faith in a great way.
I'm studying Song of Solomon with my mentor Cortney, which is just a fantastic book! I HIGHLY recommend it. Theres so much to gain from learning how to love. I dont know if its the whole boyfriend thing, or just the emotions from the boyfriend stuff or things that I've realized about myself, but I've realized, there is so much that I don't know about how to love. Not just how to love, but how to love in a way that is honoring to God. Especially in a dating sense. Considering the unhealthy way I've loved in the past, I have so much to learn. Song of Solomon has been great in that regard. Theres a lot God has in store for me and I'm pretty excited about all of it!
I sang this past Tuesday in our college service. And by sang I mean a solo. Which.. looking back, I've never really done before. (haha thats weird to think about) But it was AWESOME! I LOVED it. So much fun! The song was kinda folky/acoustic/bluesy style. If you're super curious, and I mean REALLY REALLY curious, we made a practice recording.
Hopefully it will be less than a month and a week before I post again. To all those in Houston, it was great to see you again. I miss you alot. Alot alot. :)

| This is the what.. third? week of school. and its been amazing already. It feels like i've been here alot longer than that.. which i cant decide if thats a good or bad thing. Only time will figure that one out.
Its interesting.. part of me wants to spill my guts out on here because i feel like approximately 2 people read it and it wouldnt 'be THAT big a deal. But for the sake of my sanity, i wont.
So without leaking out the deepest secrets that arent really secrets, (only secrets to the few remaining occupants of the xanga world), things are amazing. And so is the special someone that is in the picture. I'm actually putting off homework as we speak. That last ones not really a secret, just a little side note.
But to those special remnants of the once flourishing xanga community, how the heck are you?

There are so many words to describe the greatness of God, but the reality is, none of them can even begin to encompass the glory and splendor of who God TRULY is. He is so in control right now and I LOVE it!

| im so excited about a new year and a new start and all those new things that are coming! theres lots of things i would love to say in regards to recent events but alas, i know i should hold my tongue. Basically, I am really happy. I appreciate my family on an entirely different level, I have laughed harder in the past 2 nights than I have all semester, and I can finally rest, knowing I'm in God's hands. Its a pretty awesome place to be and I can't wait to see whats going to happen next.
